Dhaka: The operations of the countrywide customs houses will remain open tomorrow on a limited scale during the holidays centering the Durga Puja festival. The initiative seeks to maintain an uninterrupted trade flow despite the two-day public holiday from October 1 to 2, marking the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the National Board of Revenue (NBR) issued a notice today, instructing officials to take necessary measures to ensure that cross-border shipments can proceed without interruption during the festival period. This move highlights the importance of sustaining economic activities and supporting the business community during significant cultural and religious observances.
