Rangpur: The nine-day vacation at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) commenced today in observance of Sharodiya Durga Puja, Fateha-e-Yazdaham, and Sri Sri Lakshmi Puja. All academic activities, including classes and examinations, will be suspended from September 28, 2025, while administrative functions will be halted from September 29, 2025, until October 6, 2025, as stated in a press release this evening.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the vacation period, essential services such as residential halls, electricity, water, security, and other emergency facilities will continue to operate as normal. The university administration has issued special directives to ensure the continuation of necessary services throughout the break.
Regular classes and administrative offices are set to resume on October 7, 2025. In a gesture of goodwill, BRUR Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Md Showkat Ali extended his warmest greetings and congratulations on behalf of the university community in celebration of Sharodiya Durga Puja and Sri Sri Lakshmi Puja, as noted in the release.
