Dhaka: Police today arrested two alleged criminals and recovered crackers from the city’s Basabo area under Sabujbagh Police Station. The arrested individuals have been identified as Md Rakib Hossain, 27, and Md Mahbub, 20, according to Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media and public relations division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a press release issued by Muhammad Talebur Rahman stated that a team of Sabujbagh Thana Police conducted a raid in the North Basabo area at about 9:45 am, leading to the arrest of the two individuals. The raid was part of a broader initiative to address criminal activities in the area.
Rakib has multiple pending cases against him under the Narcotics Control Act with Sabujbagh Thana, highlighting his ongoing involvement in illegal activities. “Legal action is underway against them,” Rahman added, indicating that the authorities are taking necessary steps to process the arrests and address the legal implications.
