New york: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will join the inaugural session of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session here tomorrow morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, his schedule includes a meeting with the director general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) at 10:30 am tomorrow (NY time).
The chief adviser is also set to meet with the President of the World Bank at 11 am. Following this, a meeting with Her Majesty M¡xima, Queen of the Netherlands, is scheduled for 11:30 am.
Moreover, Prof Yunus will attend the “Fashion for Development (F4D): 13th Annual Official First Ladies Luncheon” at 12:30 pm. In the afternoon, he will participate in a “Meeting of Public and Private Sector Leaders on Social Innovation: Mobilizing Financing through Social Innovation” at 2:45 pm.
Later in the day, Kris Licht, CEO of Reckitt Benckiser, will meet with Prof Yunus at 5 pm. The chief adviser will conclude his day by attending a reception hosted by the President of the United States and Mrs. Melania Trump at 7 pm.
Prof Yunus arrived in New York today to attend the 80th UNGA session. A commercial flight of Emirates airlines carrying the Chief Adviser and his entourage landed at the John F Kennedy International Airport, New York, at 3:00 pm (NY time) today.
