Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) has announced its plan to publish the updated final voter list on November 18, in preparation for the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad elections. The announcement was made in a press release issued by the EC today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the final voter list will include citizens born on or before October 31, 2007. The Commission has outlined a detailed schedule for publishing the draft voter list, along with the process for submission of claims, objections, and corrections, as well as the disposal of submitted applications.
The deadline for preparing the PDF of the updated draft voter list and for sending the link to the concerned registration officer’s CMS portal at the field level is set for October 25. Following this, the updated draft voter list is scheduled to be printed on November 1.
Citizens have until November 16 to submit claims, objections, and correction applications. The authorities concerned are required to resolve these applications by November 17. Consequently, the final updated voter list is set to be published on November 18.
Previously, on August 31, 2025, the EC released the supplementary final voter list, which recorded a total of 12,63,07,504 voters in the country. This included 6,41,00,455 male voters, 6,22,05,819 female voters, and 1,230 transgender voters. EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed had stated that citizens turning 18 by October 31 would also be included in the list, and the final voter list would reflect these updates.
