Madaripur: A woman was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in Karnapara area under Dasar upazila of Madaripur district today. The deceased was identified as Nasima Begum, 35, wife of Iju Mia Sheikh of Paschim Botla area of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred on the Dhaka-Barishal highway this afternoon when a microbus hit an easy-bike, leaving three easy-bike passengers injured. Sheikh Mohammad Ehteshamul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dasar Police Station, stated that locals rescued the injured and transported them to Madaripur 250-bed General Hospital. Upon arrival, the on-duty doctor declared Nasima Begum dead.
