Dhaka: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman extended assistance for the surgery of elderly woman Golapi Begum.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Golapi Begum from Shahabag had been suffering from a throat problem. The operation on her throat was successfully completed today in a hospital in the city.
A news report about Golapi Begum on August 3 drew the attention of Tarique Rahman. Following the report, the BNP Acting Chairman announced that he would assist the sick woman and take responsibility for her medical treatment.
BNP media cell confirmed the information. Member Secretary of Amra BNP Poribar (We are BNP Family) Moksedul Momin Mithun, a platform of BNP, visited Golapi Begum to check her condition and spoke with the doctors involved. He expressed gratitude for the successful surgery.
