Dhaka: The government has appointed former secretary Maksumul Hakim Chowdhury as the chairman of the National River Conservation Commission for a one-year term on a contractual basis. The appointment aims to strengthen the efforts in conserving the country's river systems.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Ministry of Public Administration issued an official circular regarding this appointment. The circular, signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Bariul Karim Khan, was released yesterday. This decision reflects the government's commitment to addressing the critical issues related to river conservation.
