Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind across many parts of the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin indicates that these weather conditions are expected at most locations in the Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Some areas may experience moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall.
The meteorological office also noted that both day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged throughout the country. The ongoing monsoon is currently active over Bangladesh and ranges from moderate to strong over the North Bay.
On the previous day, the highest temperature recorded was 32.5 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda and Koyra, while Rangpur and Sylhet experienced the lowest temperature at 24.0 degrees Celsius. In the capital city, Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 6:03 pm today and rise again at 5:45 am tomorrow.
