CUET Vice-Chancellor Advocates for Enhanced Research Efforts

Chattogram: Vice-Chancellor of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan has emphasized the need for intensified research efforts to reach desired outcomes. ‘Research is a time-consuming, labor-intensive, and challenging process that requires dedication and efforts,’ he stated.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Professor Matin delivered these remarks during a Research Seminar and Project Award Presentation and Appreciation Program organized by CUET’s Department of Research and Extension. He encouraged researchers to commit themselves wholeheartedly to their work for the benefit of the larger community.



The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Sajal Chandra Banik, Director of the Department of Research and Extension, with various faculty deans also addressing the gathering. Dr. Ataur Rahman, a senior lecturer from the School of Engineering at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, presented the keynote paper at the seminar.



Professor Abdul Matin highlighted the significance of conducting research consistently and with purpose to tackle various economic, social, and political challenges effectively. During the program, awards were presented for 47 project proposals for the fiscal year 2025-26. Additionally, 27 educators were acknowledged for completing their research projects in the previous year, and four outstanding research publications received awards.
