Dhaka: Bhutanese Ambassador to Dhaka Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee today sent a gift of seasonal fruits to Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The gesture is seen as a symbol of goodwill and diplomatic friendship between Bhutan and Bangladesh.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the fruit basket was delivered to the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan at approximately 7 pm. Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, a member of the BNP Standing Committee, received the fruits on behalf of Begum Khaleda Zia. This diplomatic gesture was acknowledged with gratitude, and Dr Khan expressed appreciation for the ambassador’s thoughtfulness.
BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan highlighted the significance of this exchange, emphasizing the cordial relations between the two nations.
