Pre-Preparatory Meeting on Durga Puja Held in Magura

Magura: A pre-preparatory meeting ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in the town this morning to ensure its peaceful celebration. The meeting, presided over by the Deputy Commissioner of the district, Md. Ahidul Islam, took place at 3:00 PM.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, “Durga Puja” is one of the largest religious and cultural festivals of the Hindu community in the country. The district administration is prioritizing the celebration of this festival in a proper, peaceful, and safe environment, as emphasized by Ahidul Islam during the meeting.



During the meeting, detailed discussions focused on security arrangements at Puja pandals, maintenance of law and order, ensuring electricity and water supply, traffic control, fire-fighting preparedness, and provision of healthcare services. The Deputy Commissioner instructed all relevant departments, including law enforcement agencies, to implement necessary measures for ensuring a peaceful and festive celebration.



He also made an appeal to everyone participating in the Puja to uphold religious harmony and the bonds of brotherhood. Officials from various government departments, leaders of the Puja celebration committees, and other distinguished guests attended the meeting.
