Dhaka: An inception programme was launched by the “Hopes of Humanity Centre (HHC)”, a youth-led organisation founded by students of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), today at Dhansiri Convention Hall here with the theme “Together for Humanity, Together for Hope”.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Nusrat Jahan, the district youth mobilizer of BRAC, emphasized that young people are the “driving force of change”. She commended the HHC for creating a platform that encourages collective action. BRAC Accounts Officer Md. Saidur Rahman highlighted the need for accountability and transparency to achieve sustainable development in the country.
Musaddiqul Islam, vice-president of the BAU Journalist Association, and Taniul Karim Zim, advisor to the HHC, underscored the significance of youth activism in fostering social progress. Presiding over the event, HHC Founder and Managing Director SM Sazzad Ul Islam described the initiative as the beginning of a “collective journey” aimed at empowering youth in community service.
The programme included policy presentations, group discussions, and a roadmap outlining HHC’s activities for the year, marking a significant milestone in its organisational development. A number of youth leaders and development workers attended the programme.
