Cumilla: The second convocation of Comilla University is set to take place on December 07. Students who graduated between the 2014-15 and 2019-20 academic years are eligible to participate, as stated by the university's Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr. Mohammad Haider Ali, during a discussion with BSS today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Adviser to the Ministries of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Road Transport and Bridges, and the Ministry of Railways, will grace the event as the chief guest, representing the President of the Republic. This marks a significant event since the first convocation, which was held on January 27, 2020, and included students from the 2013-14 sessions.
This year, the university has opted to include graduates from a broader range of academic years, specifically 2014-15 to 2019-20. However, due to the extended duration of the pharmacy program, students from the pharmacy department who completed their studies in the 2019-20 academic year will not be part of this convocation.
Pro-VC Prof Dr. Masuda Kamal noted, "We have just received permission to conduct the convocation, but the final list of participants is yet to be confirmed."
