Eid-e-Miladunnabi Celebrations Set to Commence in Chattogram

Chattogram: The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, commemorating the birth and demise of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM), is set to be observed in Chattogram tomorrow with religious fervor and solemnity. Anjuman-e-Rahmania Ahmadia Sunnia Trust (ARAST) will organize its traditional Jasne Julush procession, noted as one of the largest in the world, beginning from Sholosohor Alamgir Khankha Sharif at 8 am, with an expected attendance of millions of devotees.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Awalade Rasul Allama Syed Muhammad Sabir Shah (RA) will lead the procession, with Shahzada Syed Muhammad Qasim Shah (RA) and Syed Muhammad Mehmud Ahmad Shah (RA) attending as honored guests. The Gaoucia Committee Bangladesh has also encouraged devotees to participate in processions throughout district headquarters nationwide.



Details of the program were revealed by ARAST Secretary General Muhammad Anwar Hossain during a press conference at Sholosohor Alamgir Khankha Sharif earlier today. Preparations extend beyond Chattogram city, reaching districts, upazilas, and villages throughout the division.



City streets have been adorned with arches, banners, festoons, and flags in anticipation of the celebration. Organizers have emphasized the importance of adhering to security guidelines and cooperating with authorities to ensure the smooth execution of the event.



The procession’s route will cover Bibirhat, Muradpur, Sholosohor Gate No. 2, and GEC Circle before concluding at Jamia Ahmadia Sunnia Kamil Madrasa ground. The event will also feature a mahfil, Zohr prayers, and a special munajat for national peace and prosperity.



The press briefing was attended by Convener of the media committee Amir Hossain Sohel, Advocate Mosaheb Uddin Bakhtiar, Executive Secretary Tarjuman Abhik Osman, and Abu Taleb Belal, among others.
