Dhaka: A total lunar eclipse is set to occur on September 7, 2025, and promises to be a spectacular celestial event visible across Bangladesh, provided the skies remain clear. This astronomical phenomenon was announced in a release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the eclipse will begin as the moon enters the penumbra at 9:27 pm Bangladesh Time, reaching totality by 11:30 pm on September 7. The moon will remain in the penumbra until 2:56 am on September 8. The release detailed the precise timings for the start of the sighting in various divisions: at 9:27 pm in Dhaka and Mymensingh, 9:20 pm in Chattogram, 9:21 pm in Sylhet, 9:29 pm in Khulna, 9:26 pm in Barishal, 9:34 pm in Rajshahi, and 9:33 pm in Rangpur.
