Chapainawabganj: A total of 2,200 saplings have been distributed at the initiative of Shibganj Upazila and Municipal BNP in the district today on the occasion of the 47th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). Former lawmaker and freedom fighter Alhaj Professor Md. Shahjahan Miah, advisor to BNP Chairperson, inaugurated the program on the banks of Pithalitala Zia Canal in the Shibganj Municipal area this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Shahjahan Miah emphasized that BNP does not engage in the politics of revenge. He highlighted the importance of tree plantation as a significant step in addressing the current climate crisis. The BNP aims to raise public awareness regarding environmental conservation through this initiative.
Miah further stated that Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman supported nature and environment-friendly development. Following his ideals, the BNP is dedicated to creating a green, clean, and sustainable Bangladesh.
