Bhola: A court here today sentenced two people to life term imprisonment in a murder case at Char Fashion upazila of the district in 2018. Judge of District and Sessions Judge Court Md. Shahidul Islam delivered the verdict this afternoon in presence of the convicts, State lawyer Khandaker Didarul Alam said.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the convicts, Shahabuddin Molla and Mahbub Alam, were found guilty of the murder of Asman Ali, who was brutally killed in Char Akhtar area on March 30, 2018, due to previous enmity. The court also imposed a fine of Taka 50,000 on each convict, with an additional one-year jail term if they fail to pay the fine.
Following the murder, Jahangir Alam, the son of the deceased, filed a case with Char Fashion Police Station against Shahabuddin Molla, Mahbub Alam, and a few others.
