Bogura: A woman lost her life today in a road accident on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in the Mokamtala area at Shibganj upazila of the district. The incident occurred when a truck struck the woman as she attempted to cross the road.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kundarhat highway police, Hafizur Rahman, confirmed the occurrence of the accident. The identity of the victim has not yet been determined. The OC noted that the victim was also mentally challenged.
Police have recovered the body from the scene and have sent it to the morgue of Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Efforts are ongoing to identify the victim.
