Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at many places in the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin indicated that the rain or thundershowers are expected in several regions, including Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Additionally, a few places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions might also experience similar weather conditions. The bulletin further noted that there is a possibility of moderately heavy to heavy rainfall in parts of Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
The weather department has also predicted a drop in temperature, with day temperatures expected to fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius and a slight decrease in night temperatures across the country. The monsoon remains fairly active over Bangladesh and is described as moderate over the North Bay.
On Monday, the temperature in Sylhet reached a high of 38.0 degrees Celsius, while Bandarban recorded the lowest temperature at 23.8 degrees Celsius. For Dhaka, the sun is predicted to set at 6:16 pm today and rise at 5:40 am tomorrow.
