Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia has returned home after undergoing a health checkup at Evercare Hospital in the Bashundhara residential area. She had left her Gulshan residence for the hospital, arriving there at 8:20 pm, and returned home at around 11:45 pm as confirmed by BNP Media Cell Member Shairul Kabir Khan.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BNP Secretary General and other party leaders and activists were present at the hospital during Khaleda Zia’s visit. Prior to this, Khaleda Zia had traveled to London on January 8 for advanced medical treatment. She spent 17 days receiving care at a London clinic and continued her treatment at her son Tarique Rahman’s house under the supervision of specialist doctors from the London Clinic, including Professor Patrick Kennedy and Professor Jennifer Cross.
Khaleda Zia returned to Bangladesh on May 6 after completing her treatment in the UK. Upon her arrival in Dhaka, a medical board led by Evercare Hospital’s specialist doctor, Professor Shahabuddin Talukder, provided her with medical care at her residence.
