Tarique Rahman Mourns Passing of Mahmud Ullah, Father of Renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dhaka: BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of retired headmaster Mahmud Ullah, father of member of Board of Directors of Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) and renowned orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Shah Muhammad Aman Ullah.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in a condolence message, Tarique Rahman described Mahmud Ullah as an ideal teacher who played a pivotal role in shaping numerous students into responsible citizens who now hold various important positions in the state. Rahman highlighted Mahmud Ullah's contribution to the education sector, emphasizing how his teachings in various government high schools left a lasting impact on the community.

Rahman further noted that Mahmud Ullah's commitment to education extended to his family, as he ensured his children received higher education and became valuable citizens of the country. He lamented the loss of such a dedicated educator, especially in the current social context where individuals like Mahmud Ullah are greatly needed.

Tarique Rahman concluded his message by praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveying his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family members.

Mahmud Ullah passed away due to old age complications on Saturday evening while receiving treatment at Comfort Hospital in the capital.
