Dhaka: Health officials have reported 568 new cases of dengue, resulting in four deaths over the past 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has released a statement detailing the distribution of new cases across various regions. In the past 24 hours, 110 patients were hospitalized in the Barisal division, 93 in the Chattogram division, and 114 in the Dhaka division excluding the capital. Additionally, 82 cases were reported in the Dhaka South City Corporation area and 67 in the Dhaka North City Corporation area. Other affected areas include the Khulna division with 42 cases, the Mymensingh division with 16 cases, the Rajshahi division with 39 cases, and the Sylhet division with three cases.
The ongoing dengue outbreak in Bangladesh has resulted in 122 deaths and 31,476 infections this year. In comparison, last year the disease claimed 575 lives and infected 101,214 people across the country.
