JU VC Inaugurates Construction of Extended Arts and Humanities Faculty Building

Jahangirnagar university: Jahangirnagar University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan today inaugurated the construction of the extended Arts and Humanities Faculty building under the ‘Further Development Project’ of the university. The event marked a significant step towards enhancing the university’s infrastructure to accommodate a growing number of students and faculty members.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the construction of the extended building, located on the premises of the abandoned Fazilatunnesa Hall beside the old transport office, was formally inaugurated around 3 pm. The project aims to provide improved facilities for academic activities and research, supporting the university’s mission to advance education in arts and humanities.



The inauguration ceremony was attended by JU Pro-VC (Academic), Professor Dr M Mahfuzur Rahman; Pro-VC (Administration), Professor Dr Sohel Ahmed; Dean of Arts and Humanities Faculty, Professor Dr Mozammel Haque; along with faculty members and other officials. Their presence highlighted the importance of the project and the collaborative effort involved in bringing it to fruition. The new facility is expected to enhance learning experiences and foster an environment conducive to academic excellence.
