Pabna: A court here today sentenced a man to death in a triple murder case in Sadar upazila in 2020. Judge of Additional District and Sessions Court-3 Md. Tanvir Ahmed delivered the verdict this afternoon, said Public Prosecutor (PP) of the court Advocate Golam Sarwar Khan Jewel.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the convict is Tanvir Hossain, son of Hatem Ali Sardar of Haripur Purbapara village in Naogaon district. On May 31, 2020, Tanvir committed the murders of retired bank official Abdul Jabbar, his wife Chumma Khatun, and adopted daughter Sanjida alias Jaya in the town’s Dilalpur area. Following the crime, he looted money and gold ornaments before fleeing the scene.
Subsequently, police apprehended Tanvir in Naogaon, which led to the legal proceedings culminating in today’s conviction.
