Sylhet: The government has appointed Md Sarwoer Alam as the new deputy commissioner (DC) of Sylhet district. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification confirming this change today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Md Sarwoer Alam was previously serving as a deputy secretary (attached) to the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment. The order for his appointment as DC of Sylhet has been issued in the public interest and will take immediate effect.
In a separate notification, signed by a deputy secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, it was announced that the current Deputy Commissioner, Muhammad Sher Mahbub Murad, has been reassigned to serve as an officer on special duty (OSD) at the ministry.
