Dhaka: Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud announced today that approximately 650,000 Ansar members will be deployed at polling stations nationwide during the upcoming national parliamentary elections. This strategic move is aimed at ensuring the security and smooth conduct of the electoral process.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, 180,000 additional Ansar members have been trained and are ready for deployment. Major General Mahmud made these remarks during a function at the Ansar Academy. He emphasized that a dedicated mobile application will facilitate round-the-clock communication with Ansar members at each polling station, enabling swift action against any sabotage attempts.

Efforts are also underway to provide advanced training to all members to bolster the Ansar force’s capabilities. Only those who successfully complete the training course will be considered eligible for service within the Ansar force, as highlighted by the Director General.

The event was also attended by notable figures such as Additional DG of Ansar Brigadier General Fida Mahmud, Deputy Director General (Training) Md. Rafiqul Islam, and Academy Commandant Mohammad Nurul Absar.
