Chattogram: Chattogram Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Adviser Supradip Chakma today announced that students in the CHT region will be provided with modern technological skills to assist their integration into the national mainstream and contribute to enhancing the country’s global reputation. He conveyed these points during a view-sharing meeting at Khagrachari Government High School, which followed the inauguration of the school’s newly constructed main gate.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Adviser revealed plans, under the Chief Adviser’s directives, to introduce Starlink technology in the hill tracts. The goal is to connect all educational institutions in the region through a comprehensive computer network. He emphasized the necessity of modernizing the education system by integrating advanced technology.
The Adviser highlighted the importance of strengthening education in mathematics, English, and science to cultivate a digitally competent and forward-thinking student base. To ensure the delivery of quality education, he stated that only skilled and trained teachers will be recruited in these subjects, ensuring no compromise in the recruitment process. “This initiative is expected to open a new horizon for students in the hilly region,” he remarked.
The event was attended by notable figures including the Chairman of the Khagrachhari Hill District Council, Shefalika Tripura, Deputy Commissioner ABM Iftekharul Islam Khandaker, and Superintendent of Police Arefin Jewel, among others.
