Tangail, Mymensingh, Kishorganj, Jamalpur Reach Semifinals in Women’s Division of National Kabaddi Championship

Tangail: Host Tangail, Mymensingh, Kishorganj, and Jamalpur districts have advanced to the women’s division semifinals of the National Kabaddi Championship. The matches took place at Shaheed Maruf Stadium in Tangail today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in the women’s division group A matches, Tangail district secured a victory over Jamalpur district with a score of 22-17 points. Despite this, Jamalpur district managed to advance to the last four by defeating Gazipur with a decisive 53-13 point victory.



In the group B matches, Kishorganj emerged victorious against Mymensingh with a score of 38-27 points in their first match, followed by a win over Manikganj district with 35-27 points in the second match. Mymensingh district also qualified for the semifinals by overpowering Manikganj with a 45-13 point win in their initial match.



In the men’s group matches, Kishorganj defeated Jamalpur by a narrow margin of 35-34 points in their first match and went on to beat Sherpur district decisively with 42-22 points in the second match. Meanwhile, Tangail triumphed over Gazipur by 43-18 points, and Mymensingh dominated Jamalpur with a score of 46-17 points.



The tournament features seven teams in the men’s division and six in the women’s division, all competing in the Festival of Youth. The Brahmaputra zone competition in Tangail will conclude tomorrow with the finals for both divisions.
