Jashore: Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, has announced that the National Data Centre (NDC) and its Disaster Recovery Centre in Jashore are set for expansion within the next six months. He made this announcement during an inspection today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during his visit, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb reviewed operations at the Bangladesh Computer Council’s NDC, Disaster Recovery Centre, and Jashore Software Technology Park. He provided directives aimed at enhancing the design, performance, and operational standards of these facilities.
Faiz emphasized the importance of utilizing the park’s underused spaces to foster a local start-up ecosystem. He proposed organizing science fairs, hackathons, and seminars focused on cybersecurity and digital literacy, which would involve student participation from local schools and colleges to promote grassroots innovation.
Jashore Deputy Commissioner Md Azaharul Islam was assigned with overall supervision responsibilities, while Superintendent of Police Rawnak Jahan committed to ensuring the park’s security. Additionally, Faiz inspected ongoing operations of Sheba.XYZ and Chaldal.com at the technology park.
