Rajshahi: The interim government is making strides in creating a business-friendly environment, contributing to improved economic conditions and encouraging new industrial ventures within the country. Industrialists and local entrepreneurs made this observation today during the inauguration of the Shimul Auto-Flour Mills in the Madhusudanpur area of Paba Upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the new mill is set to enhance the local agro-based economy by generating employment opportunities. The event was attended by notable figures including President of the Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industries (RCCI) Masudur Rahman, Vice President Sultan Mahmud, General Manager of Sonali Bank PLC Shawkat Jaman, Assistant General Manager Masud Hassan, mill owner Shahajahan Ali, and Branch Manager of Meghna Bank PLC Mamunur Rashid.
During the inauguration, RCCI President Masudur Rahman expressed optimism that the mill would create jobs and strengthen the agro-based economy of the region. He also suggested that ventures like this could motivate other local entrepreneurs to establish new industries, thus advancing Rajshahi’s industrial development.
Shawkat Jaman from Sonali Bank highlighted the ongoing support from the banking sector for entrepreneurs and anticipated that the mill would play a role in ensuring food security for the local population.
