Bogura: A discussion meeting and doa mahfil were held at Ziabari in Gantoli upazila of the district to mark the 56th birthday of the late Arafat Rahman Koko, the youngest son of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Arafat Rahman Koko Smriti Sangsad UK branch organized cash donations, doa mahfil, food distribution among orphans, and a discussion meeting at 17 religious institutions of the upazila on Tuesday noon. The event was presided over by BNP Chairperson’s Adviser and Senior Vice President of Krishak Dal Central Committee, former MP Md. Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, who led the discussion on the biography of the late Arafat Rahman Koko.
District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha attended the occasion as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included District BNP Acting General Secretary and former MP Mosharraf Hossain, District BNP Vice President MR Islam Swadhin, DAB District Committee Former President Dr. Shah Md. Shajahan Ali, District BNP Human Rights Secretary and former Mayor Saiful Islam, Gabtoli Municipality BNP General Secretary Abdur Rahim Pintu, and Gabtoli Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Arifur Rahman Majnu.
The program was conducted by District BNP Science and Technology Secretary and Chairman of Nashipur Union, Engineer Md. Rokon Talukder.
