Bogura: One person was killed and five others were injured in a road accident at the Rupihar Bus Stand area under Nandigram upazila of the district this morning. The deceased has been identified as Abdus Salam, 32, son of the late Mahar Ali of Khejurtala Ataikula village in Singra upazila, Natore district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 6:30 am on the Bogura-Natore highway. A sand-laden truck collided head-on with another truck, resulting in injuries to six people, including the truck driver and helper. Hafizur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kunderhat Highway Police Station, provided details on the incident.
The injured were promptly taken to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Abdus Salam succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the hospital.
