Khulna: A team from the joint forces conducted a raid on Thursday afternoon, seizing 735 litres of illegally brewed wine and arresting an individual on Barmashil Road, near the Railway Station under Khulna Sadar Thana. The individual, identified as Sekendar alias Siku, was reportedly involved in the production and distribution of illegal drugs, according to a press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in a separate operation in Taltoli upazila of Barguna district, authorities apprehended two drug peddlers, Md Billal Hossain and Rahima Khatun. The operation led to the recovery of four kilograms of hemp from their possession.
The arrested individuals and the confiscated items have been handed over to the respective police stations, as detailed in the press release.
