Khulna: A joint team of law enforcement agencies arrested a man along with arms, ammunition, and drugs from his residence at East Baniakhamar main road in the city early today. Sub-Inspector Tapon of Khulna Sadar Police Station confirmed the matter to BSS.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individual, identified as Joynal Abedin Jony, 40, is the son of Ashraf Ali and a resident of East Baniakhamar main road. The arrest followed a tip-off, prompting a coordinated raid by members of the army, navy, and police at Jony's residence.
During the operation, authorities recovered one pipe gun, two rounds of bullets, and various types of drugs from Jony's possession. Preparations are currently underway to file a case in connection with the incident.
