Dhaka: The ninth commission meeting of the Election Commission (EC) is set to take place tomorrow to discuss the Code of Conduct for Political Parties and Candidates, 2025, and the Representation of the People Order 1972 (Amendment) Ordinance 2025. The meeting will be chaired by the Chief Election Commissioner in the CEC’s meeting room at 11 am.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Director (Public Relations) of the EC Secretariat, Md Shariful Alam, confirmed the details of this significant meeting. The agenda will primarily focus on amendments to existing electoral laws and codes, aiming to streamline processes for future elections. The outcome of this meeting is anticipated to impact the political landscape as it will dictate the conduct expected from political parties and candidates in upcoming elections.
