Magura: Marking the first anniversary of the historic 2024 Mass Uprising, the district unit of Jamaat-e-Islami organized a series of programmes today, including a rally and prayers, in memory of the martyrs. The event featured a mass rally that commenced from Nomani Maidan and proceeded through the main streets of the town.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the rally saw participation from District Jamaat Ameer Professor M B Baker and Nayeb-e-Ameer Mahbubur Rahman, who were present to lead the proceedings. The participants concluded the rally at Bhayna intersection, where they offered a two-rakat Shukrana (gratitude) prayer, seeking forgiveness for the souls of the martyrs.

During the rally, leaders emphasized the importance of the sacrifices made during the July-August mass movement. They asserted that the people can only be liberated from what they described as today’s fascism and misrule through an Islamic movement. The leaders reiterated their commitment to organizing with the goal of establishing a justice-based state in honor of the martyrs’ blood.
