BCB’s Level A Coaching Course Ends with Armed Forces Participation

Dhaka: The three-day Level A coaching course organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)’s Game Development concluded at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today. This foundational programme in basic cricket coaching marked a significant step in integrating members of Bangladesh’s security forces into the sports coaching framework.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BCB’s initiative included participants from the Bangladesh Army, Navy, and Air Force, as well as the Bangladesh Police and Ansar and VDP. Additionally, representatives from various public and private universities took part in the programme. This marks the first time such a diverse group from the armed forces and security services has been included in the BCB’s coaching system.



The course was conducted by specialist coaches and instructors from the BCB, who provided a blend of practical sessions and theoretical presentations. These sessions aimed to impart fundamental cricket coaching techniques to the attendees.



The conclusion of the course was marked by the distribution of certificates to the participants. BCB Vice President Nazmul Abedeen Fahim and BCB Director and Chairman of the Age Group Cricket Committee Saiful Alam Swapon Chowdhury were present to award the certificates. BCB’s Head of Game Development, Habibul Bashar Sumon, was also in attendance, highlighting the importance of this initiative in the BCB’s development strategy.
