Dhaka: The Land Ministry will be introducing a Land Service Support Centre aimed at facilitating citizens in obtaining services without facing harassment or corruption, a press release from the ministry announced today. This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and transparently to the public.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Land Service Support Centre will serve as a platform for citizens to submit complaints and opinions related to any instances of harassment they may encounter. The centre will also be responsible for monitoring the quality of services provided to ensure they meet the necessary standards. Citizens will have the option to file their complaints by contacting the ministry’s hotline number 16122, which will be operational 24/7.

Furthermore, the ministry plans to install comment boxes in the offices of all Assistant Commissioners (Land) across the country. These boxes will provide an additional avenue for citizens to express their opinions and submit complaints, which the ministry has pledged to address with the highest priority.

The ministry’s press release emphasized that these steps are expected to significantly reduce corruption and harassment at the field level. The release also highlighted the importance of public awareness and support in achieving the goals of this initiative.
