Bogura: A truck driver was killed and its helper injured in a road accident in Mahasthan Nagarkandi Hatibandha area under Shibganj upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was identified as Monir Hossain, 28, son of Mazarul Islam of Goleyapara village in Panchagarh Sadar upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place on the Bogura-Rangpur highway when the truck driven by Monir Hossain collided with another stationary truck beside the road. This collision resulted in the immediate death of Monir Hossain and left the truck’s helper, Lion Mia, injured.
Lion Mia, who sustained injuries in the accident, was promptly admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for treatment. Officer-in-Charge of Kunderhat Highway Police Station, Nirmal Chandra Mahanta, confirmed the details of the incident.
