Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has visited the prominent writer and Marxist-Leninist politician, Badruddin Umar, who is currently hospitalized. Umar, also serving as the President of the Jatiya Mukti Council, is receiving medical care at United Hospital in Gulshan, Dhaka.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mirza Fakhrul made his visit this afternoon, where he was seen engaging with both the medical team and Umar’s family members to inquire about his health. The BNP Secretary General took the opportunity to relay prayers and well-wishes on behalf of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. The visit was confirmed by Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP’s media cell.
