Mymensingh: Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) today commenced a 33-day basic training workshop for 25 newly recruited teachers from 18 universities on its campus. The inaugural session of this 32nd basic teachers' training was held at BAU's Graduate Training Institute (GTI) Training Room at 9:30 am and will run until August 28.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the training course features participation from teachers representing 18 universities, including Bangladesh Agricultural University, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology, Pabna Science and Technology University, and Bangladesh Maritime University.
The Director of Graduate Training Institute (GTI), Professor Md Mozammel Haque, chaired the inaugural session, with Agriculture Faculty Dean Professor Dr. GM Mujibur Rahman attending as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included BAU students' affairs adviser Professor Dr. Md Shahidul Haque, Treasurer Professor Dr. Humayun Kabir, Proctor Professor Dr. Md Abdul Alim, Professor Dr. Md Hammadur Rahman, and Training Course Coordinator Professor Bentul Mawa.
During the event, senior academics emphasized the training's objectives and significance, encouraging new teachers to leverage their training expertise to develop into global citizens in the future.
