Bogura: Two people lost their lives and three others sustained injuries in a collision involving a truck and a CNG-run auto rickshaw in the Kundarhat area under Nandigram upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the tragic incident occurred on the Bogura-Natore highway at approximately 11 am. The head-on collision resulted in the immediate deaths of Arafat Hossain, a 22-year-old auto rickshaw driver from Kathom Southpara village, and Hawa Begum, a 45-year-old passenger from Visha village. The impact also left three others injured.
Nirmal Chandra Mahanta, Office-in-Charge of Kundarhat Highway Police Station, reported that the injured individuals were promptly transported to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for treatment. In the aftermath of the accident, police managed to seize the truck involved and sent the bodies of the deceased to the hospital morgue for further procedures.
