Naogaon: A truck helper was killed, and its driver was injured when a stone-laden vehicle collided with a stationary sand-laden truck in the Chouddamail area under Manda upazila this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place around 8:30am on the Naogaon-Rajshahi highway. A Rajshahi-bound stone-laden truck lost control and hit the stationary truck parked beside the road. As a result, the truck overturned, leading to the immediate death of the helper and injuries to the driver, confirmed Mansur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manda Police Station.
The injured driver was subsequently rescued and admitted to Manda Upazila Health Complex for medical treatment. The identity of the deceased helper remains unknown at this time.
