Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours, commencing from 9 am today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a Met office bulletin issued this morning detailed that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at most locations in Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Mymensingh divisions may also experience similar weather conditions, with moderately heavy to very heavy falls expected in Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.
The weather update further mentioned that the day temperature is expected to remain nearly unchanged, while a slight drop in night temperature is anticipated across the country. Friday's highest temperature was recorded at 37.2 degrees Celsius in Dimla under Rangpur division, with today's lowest temperature documented at 23 degrees Celsius in Tangail and Nikli.
The sun is set to descend at 6:45 pm today and will rise at 5:25 am tomorrow in the capital.
