Barishal: A total of 164 dengue patients were hospitalized across the country in the last 24 hours till this morning. The recent hospitalizations highlight the ongoing struggle with the mosquito-borne disease.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period, 60 patients were hospitalized in the Barishal division, while 19 were admitted in both Chattogram and Dhaka divisions. In Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 11 patients required hospital care, and in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 29 were hospitalized. Additionally, 10 patients were admitted in Khulna, and 16 in different hospitals in the Rajshahi division.
The total number of dengue cases has increased to 18,789, with 70 deaths reported this year. In contrast, last year saw 1,01,214 cases and 575 deaths from dengue across the country. In the last 24 hours, 164 patients were discharged from various hospitals, indicating a continuous cycle of admissions and recoveries in the nation's healthcare facilities.
