Chattogram: Chairman of the Bangladesh Energy and Power Research Council and Senior Secretary Mohammad Wahid Hasan NDC emphasized the critical role of research in the nation's development. "There are many problems in our country, so research is essential to find solutions," he stated during a speech at a symposium titled "Innovation Power Infrastructure: Advancing Clean Affordable Energy for Bangladesh's Future" held at the central auditorium of CUET.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the symposium was a collaborative effort between the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) and the Bangladesh Energy and Power Research Council (BEPRC). During his address, Hasan urged stakeholders to be vigilant and dedicated to ensuring that research outputs significantly contribute to the nation's progress and the welfare of its citizens.
The event was presided over by Professor Dr. Tofail Ahmed from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Other notable attendees included CUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, BEPRC Member Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, and Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at CUET, Professor Dr. Kazi Delair Hossain.
