Dhaka: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a programme of prayers scheduled for tomorrow to honor those who lost their lives and those injured in the tragic fighter jet crash that occurred on Monday at a school building in Uttara.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BCB will ensure that the National Flag is flown at half-mast at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) and all BCB venues as a mark of respect. In addition, ahead of the second T20 international match between Bangladesh and Pakistan, a minute of silence will be observed at the SBNCS.
Players, management of both teams, and match officials are set to wear black armbands to show solidarity with the victims. In a further gesture of respect, no music will be played at the venue during the match.
The BCB, through its press release, extended its deepest condolences to the families affected by the tragic incident and expressed its solidarity with the nation during this period of mourning.
