Khagrachhari: A schoolboy died from a snakebite at Jamburapara of Kabakhali union in Dighinala upazila this afternoon. The deceased was Rexon Chakma, 10, a 5th grade student of Hazachhara Jora Bridge Government Primary School.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a snake bit Rexon while he was sleeping around 2 am. Following the incident, his family members initially took him to a local Ojha for treatment. However, when his condition worsened, they rushed him to Khagrachhari Modern District Sadar Hospital.
Khagrachhari Civil Surgeon Mohammad Chaber confirmed that Rexon died at the hospital while undergoing treatment.
