Dhaka: The 3rd International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Applied Science (ICMEAS 2025) was held at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) from 17 to 19 July, 2025. The event brought together experts and professionals from various parts of the globe to discuss advancements and share experiences in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aeronautical and Naval Engineering, and Applied Sciences.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the closing ceremony took place at MIST with General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, attending as the chief guest. He presented awards for the best papers of the seminar, as stated in an ISPR release.
Participants from the United States, the United Kingdom, Brunei, Egypt, Canada, Ireland, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Australia, India, Singapore, China, and Bangladesh joined the conference. They engaged in discussions on recent research and developments in areas such as materials engineering, renewable energy, AI, industrial IoT, thermal engineering, aerospace, avionics, aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, fluid and CFD, design and manufacturing, mechatronics, and robotics.
The conference aims to foster a collaborative forum for researchers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and students globally. This effort is anticipated to drive innovations and sustainable development in relevant engineering and applied science fields, ultimately impacting Bangladesh's future trajectory significantly.
The conference commenced with an inauguration ceremony on 17 July 2025, where Major General Md Nasim Parvez, Commandant of MIST, served as Chief Patron.
